It is with a heavy heart that the family of Wanda Sue Teague announces her passing on January 6, 2021 at the age of 85.
Wanda was an amazing cook, avid gardener, and a fantastic seamstress, but above all, she was the most loving Mom, Mamaw and great grandma that a family could have ever prayed for. Her smile would light up a room. She had the most contagious laugh and a sense of humor that would get most in trouble. She loved the outdoors, going on vacations and singing Loretta Lynn songs at the top of her lungs. Her life was a living example of this Bible verse in Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
She is survived by her son: Frank Thompson (Anita), two daughters: Mellonie Burnham and Karen Beard (Vince), six grandchildren: Stephanie Akin (Jordan), Michael Thompson (Kristi), Brandy Jenkins (Jamie), Heather Dunlap (Derek), Brooke Cooksey (Ryan) and Heidi Buenaventura (Charlan) and sixteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Gene Teague, daughter: Carolya Marie, son: Billy Eugene, her parents: William and Cordia Gaines, brother: Billy Gaines, great granddaughter: Lauren Nicole and two son in laws: Chuck Burnham and Mel Branscum.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 1:00pm and visitation will be held from 11:30am – 1:00pm at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
Interment will follow service at Tyronza Cemetery, Tyronza, Arkansas.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing, mask or face coverings are required at all times. Thank you for helping to maintain safety while offering condolences to the family.
