Tom Williams

Tom Williams, 92, of Marked Tree departed this life Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Jonesboro.  He was born February 4, 1926 to Thomas Oscar and Laura Beatrice Reed Williams.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree, and a US Army Veteran.   He was a retired water manager for the city of Marked Tree, Fire Chief of Marked Tree for 10 years and he loved to trout fish.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Joe, Harold and Robert Williams.

Tom is survived by his wife of 31 years: Louise Soozi Williams of the home, 1 daughter: Alice Faye Waymire (Floyd) of Parkin, 2 grandchildren: Jason Waymire (Ruth Ann) of Wynne and Scott Waymire (Michelle) of Bryant, 8 great grandchildren: Stacy (Jedidiah), Stephanie (Nick), Jason Thomas, Tyler, Mckenzie, Bryson, Tyler, and Chandler, 2 great-great grandchildren: Harleigh and Huckleberry.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time at the church.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree.
