Susan "Suzy" Evonne Brandon

Susan “Suzy” Evonne Brandon, 61, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, February 18, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She was born on January 7, 1961 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Guy and Pauline Rollins Shempert.  Suzy was a member of Needham Baptist Church and worked in education as a substitute teacher and bus driver.  She enjoyed singing, sewing, flee markets, going to the beach, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Dale Shempert and one sister: Bobbie Jo Taylor

Susan is survived by her husband: Steve Brandon of the home, two sons: Clint
Walker and his wife Samantha, Guy Walker and his wife Nikki, three stepchildren: Aaron Brandon and his wife Charli, Ashley Lewis and her husband David, and Brittany Brandon, fifteen grandchildren: Malachi Brandon, Hunter Lewis, Eli Lewis, Blaine Lewis, Avenley Lewis, Nolan Brandon, Asher Brandon, Kadence Riggs, Breleigh Parnell, SJ Parnell, AnnaBelle Richmond, Hudson Walker, Liam Walker, Sawyer Walker, Daemon Walker, and one great- grandchild: Brittlyn Brandon, one brother: Mike Shempert and his wife Connie of Tyronza, Arkansas , four sisters: Shirley Reese and her husband Tommy of Marietta, Mississippi, Mary Shempert of Lake City, Arkansas, Brenda Burkle of Lake City, Arkansas and Pam Kirby and her husband Brad of Tyronza, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. and visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.– 1:00 P.M. at Needham Baptist Church, 1465 CR-945, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.

Interment will follow service at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Brother Danny Russell will officiate the service.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
