Ruth Anne “Dippy” Dean, 82, of Cordova, Tennessee, formerly of Marked Tree, Arkansas passed into glory on March 3, 2022. She was born on February 26, 1940 to Bernard and Dorothy Cupp Leggett in Ripley, Tennessee. Ruth Anne was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a wonderful cook, avid gardener and amazing seamstress to name a few of her many talents. She adored her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Ruru”. Ruth Anne loved the Lord and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son: William “Bernie” Dean and one sister: Mary Carolyn Gibson.
Ruth is survived by her husband: Franklin Delano Dean of the home, one son: James Dean and his wife Tracy of Little Rock, Arkansas, two daughters: Nealie Dean of Cordova, Tennessee and Cheree’ Cheatham and her husband Russ of Madison, Alabama, Five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister: Dorothy “Dot” Townsend of Ripley, Tennessee.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
Interment will follow service at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
Her son-in-law Mr. Russ Cheatham will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home, Marked Tree Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer’s Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
