Robert Wayne Duncan, a resilient and determined individual, passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born on August 13, 1961 in Tyronza, Arkansas to Henry Clayton and Mary Helen White Duncan. Despite the challenges of living with a disability, Robert’s unwavering spirit and strong work ethic allowed him to build a fulfilling life.
A hard worker, Robert dedicated himself to his labor, refusing to let his physical limitations hold him back. His determination inspired those around him, and he took great pride in his ability to provide for himself and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. .
Outside of mowing grass for a living, Robert’s passions shone bright. He had a deep love for classic cars, often spending hours tinkering with and maintaining his beloved vehicles. His most prized possession was his 1964 Chevy truck. He had also just recently purchased a 1956 Ford Custom 4 door sedan that he got to enjoy by staring at it through his living room window. He didn’t care that he never got to drive it. It was his and that’s all that mattered. The sounds of Elvis, Charley Pride, Hank Williams Sr, Roy Orbison, The Beach Boys and Bob Segar music filled his living room where he'd listen for hours until he fell asleep . His Honda Rebel motorcycle, too, brought him joy, representing freedom and adventure. You may have passed him a time or two alongside the interstate from Tyronza to Marked Tree!
Robert’s legacy is one of perseverance, grit, and a heart that never gave up even up till his last breath. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
