Robbie Bankston

Robbie Delanth Bankston, 83, of Marked Tree, Arkansas, departed this life on June 3, 2021 at his home.  He was born May 22, 1938 in Manila, Arkansas to Cecil and Dora Flanigan Bankston.

Preceded in death by wife, Peggy Ruth Bankston, one brother, Jeryl Bankston and his parents.

He leaves one sister, Annetta Sumner, four children, Jana Hatley, Wayne Bankston, Jennifer Massey (David) all of Marked Tree and Christy Wallace (Brian) of Florence, South Carolina and nine grandchildren, Colby Tacker (Hope), Matthew Hatley, James Massey, Brandon Massey (Alix Anne), Jesse Bankston, Maggie Bankston, Peter Bankston, Bankston Wallace, and Cooper Wallace.  He had one great grandson, Brentley Tacker.  Robbie also left a multitude of friends.

He lived his life in a way that made it possible to collect such a wide variety of people that loved and respected him.  He was an extremely hardworking man that never stopped.  He provided well for his family with love and loyalty.  He was retired for a good part of his later life, spending his time doing things he loved such as hunting, fishing and working around his home.  Robbie lived his life with a strict moral and ethical code and his honesty will leave an unending loving memory in the minds and hearts of all he touched.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Delancey- Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree. There will be a gathering for family and friends, Sunday, June 6, 2021, starting at 1:00 PM at Robbie's residence, 32047 North Road, Marked Tree, Arkansas.
