Ramona Stokes

Ramona N. Stokes, 81 years old, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed from this life on June 26, 2020.  She was born January 25, 1939 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Len and Grace Stokes.

She was a Christian and faithful member of the Church of Christ and up until her illness pre-empted her attendance, she was devoted to the Park Hill congregation in Fort Smith.

In both her formal education and practical work experience, she was a secretary.  From her start at the L.S.U. Alumni Association to an executive secretary and a legal secretary before retiring as a case coordinator with the circuit courts, she proudly served this profession.

Ramona is survived by one brother, Gary Stokes and wife Henrietta (Henrie) and two nephews, Sonny Michael and Blaine Michael Stokes all of Fort Smith.

Viewing will be 9 AM till 6 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Funeral service will be 11 AM, Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.  Burial will be Private. Arrangements are under the care of Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home, Marked Tree.
