Peggy O’Brien, 79, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday November 22, 2022, at the family home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 12, 1943, to Wilbert and June Leatherwood Nester. Peggy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marked Tree, Arkansas. She was a homemaker who loved reading, music, God, and her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years: Gerald O’Brien, her parents, one sister: Wilma Nester Tacker, and one brother: Tommy Daniel Nester.
Peggy is survived by three daughters: Keri O’Brien Hayse of Marked Tree, Arkansas, Christy (Michael) Burke of Olive Branch, Mississippi and April (Jason) Haycraft of Marked Tree, Arkansas, six grandchildren: Jordan (Ron) Thompson of Trumann, Arkansas, Devan (Justin) Austin of Osceola, Arkansas, Sydney (Tyler) Pearson of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Skylar Burke, Clayton Haycraft and Emily Haycraft, six great grandchildren: Molli Claire Austin, Cash Thompson, Beckham Austin, Michael Travis Pearson, Hayse Thompson and John Leo Dewerff, one sister: Cindy (Jerry) Deutschendorf of Claremore, Oklahoma and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Marked Tree, Arkansas on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. and visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Interment will follow service at Marked Tree Cemetery, Marked Tree, Arkansas.
Brother Zach Davis and Brother Michael Burke will officiate the service.
Everyone is invited to attend dinner after the service at First Baptist Church in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
