Ophelia Thompson

Ophelia Collie Thompson, 89, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on November 24, 1934, to George Washington and Lucille Clark Collie in Lepanto, Arkansas. Ophelia was a member of the Church of the First Born in Hunter, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Hershel William Thompson, parents: George and Lucille Collie, one son: Randy Thompson, one brother and three sisters.

Ophelia is survived by one son: Jeff Thompson (Debbie) of Marked Tree, three daughters: Treva Brinkley (Mike) of Tyronza, Debbie McClain (Rickey) of Lepanto and Kelli Armstrong (Steve) of Marked Tree, one brother: G.W. Collie of San Antonio, Texas, three sisters: Adar Pinter of Jonesboro, Barbara Pounds of Mississippi and Trudy Bessent of North Carolina, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two dear neighbors: Christine Boblack and Dean Tucker and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, at 11:00a.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.

Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00a.m. until service time.

Interment will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
