Morris Ray Taylor

Morris Ray Taylor, 85, of Lepanto Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1939 in Lepanto, Arkansas to William Thomas Taylor and Johnnie Meryl Tolbert Taylor. He lived a life full of love and faith and was a member of Lepanto First Baptist Church. Morris found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time outside in the yard, sharing stories with loved ones, and caring for his dog, Marley. Above all, he treasured time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren, whose lives were blessed by his warmth, wisdom and steady presence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and six brothers.

Morris is survived by a legacy of love, his wife: Patricia Ann Taylor of the home, three sons: Morris Ray Taylor (Jenifer) of Hernando, Mississippi, Mallory Tyler (Rebecca) of Lepanto, Arkansas and Shane Taylor (Canesa) of Lepanto, Arkansas, three daughters: Jane Dollar of Marion, Arkansas, Jackie Tomlinson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Becky Hill (Stephen) of Goose Creek, South Carolina, one brother: Ronald Taylor of LeGrange, Indiana, two sisters: Carol Tacker of Marion, Arkansas and Janice Young of Lepanto, Arkansas, fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Morris touched many lives and will deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m.– 2:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.
