William C. “Mickey” McArthur, 90, of Osceola, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, November 27, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 12, 1933, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Benjamin “Benny” and Nell Williams McArthur. Mickey was a member of the Church of Christ in Keiser, Arkansas. He served his country in the United States Army from 1956-1958 and worked at the United States Postal Service for twenty-six years. He enjoyed hunting, many years of woodworking and craft shows, gardening and working in his yard. Mickey loved to read and read all of Louis Lamour’s books.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Benita Johnson.
Mickey is survived by his wife: Melody Bryeans McArthur of the home, two sons: Mark McArthur (Tasha) of Keiser, Arkansas and Mac McArthur, three daughters: Myra King (Donny) of Coldwater, Mississippi, Starla Jones (Mark) of West Memphis, Arkansas and Candi Hardie (James) of Rose Bud, Arkansas, one brother: Tommy McArthur (Janelle) of Torrence, California, four grandchildren: Eric Fraser (Hayley) of Franklin, Wisconsin, Hunter Brown, Kaitlyn Brown and Jaycie Hardie all of Rose Bud, Arkansas, three great grandchildren: Parker, Carter and Jordan Fraser of Franklin, Wisconsin.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 2:00p.m. at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Brother Jim Duffel will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
