Mattie Jones

Mattie Marie Jones, 61 of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life Saturday July 10, 2021 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She was born on August 3, 1959 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Sam Lincoln and Imogene Jobe Courtney.

Mattie was a member of First Assembly of God in Lepanto, Arkansas.  She enjoyed music, flower gardening, was a friend to everyone, loved by many and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son: Whittney Jones, stepmother: Maxine Courtney, two sisters: Janice Faye Jones and Rosemary Courtney Mason and sister-in-law: Sandra Morrisett.

Mattie is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Bo Jones of Lepanto, Arkansas, one brother: John Wallace Courtney of Lepanto, Arkansas, two sisters: Doris Ann Winningham of Suffolk, Virginia and Donna Welch of Wilson, Arkansas, three sister-in-laws: Susan Price of Lepanto, Arkansas, Angie Jones of Lepanto, Arkansas and Annette Jones of Marie, Arkansas, three grandchildren: Haven Larae Jones, Jacob Parker Jones and Mason Michael Jones.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday July, 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. and Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  All services will be held at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Interment will follow funeral service at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Brother Gary Finley will officiate the service.
