Mary Jane McGhee

Mary Jane McGhee, 63, of Lepanto departed this life on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born on March 25, 1961 in Lepanto to C.T. and Mary Magadeline Turner Gann. Mary Jane was of the Baptist faith and loved being outside. She was either fishing, going to the car races or mowing the yard in her bikini. She loved big and was true to her family and friends. Her and her friend Gina spent time playing Donkey Kong and she always enjoyed playing cards with her friend, Karen. She cherished time with Hailey as they would do their nails, make-up and hair. Spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids always brought Mary Jane so much joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother: Randell Gann and one great grandchild.

Mary Jane is survived by her son: Curtis McGhee of Lepanto, her daughter: Jennifer Kelems (Chris) of Lepanto, six grandchildren: Hailey, Willow, John Lee, Kylie, Lexi and Amara, father of her children: John McGhee and her dog: Peanut.

A funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Sunday, January 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Potter Memorial Cemetery.

Brother Jim Duffel will officiate the service.
