Mary Maxine Cole, 87, of Blytheville, Arkansas, formerly of Osceola and Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on July 26, 1933 at Calico Rock, Arkansas to Cecil and Snodie Smith Cooper, she was one of nine children and raised on a farm. She was of the Church of Christ faith and retired from American Greetings. Mary was loved by everyone she met, she had soft soul and spirit and was caring, loving, unselfish and independent. She was always taking care of others, including her mother, father and brother. She attended Osceola Senior Citizens for years, never missing a day until she became sick and moved to Blytheville. Mary always made sure everyone was happy and had a sweet smile on her face.
She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: Ches Cooper, Iva Nell McCall, Harlan Cooper, Charles Cooper, Wayne Cooper and Larry Cooper.
Mary is survived by two daughters: Diane Johnson (Randy) of Etowah, Arkansas and Melinda Gonzales of Blytheville, Arkansas, two siblings: Elvie Cooper of Osceola, Arkansas and Chlo Craven of Houston, Texas, sister in law and good friend: Peggy Cooper of Jonesboro, Arkansas, four grandchildren: Rob Shelton of Etowah, Arkansas, Holli Shelton of Russellville, Arkansas, Brandon Gonzales of Osceola, Arkansas and Blake Gonzales of Blytheville, Arkansas, thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many more very close friends.
In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be sent to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
