Mary Helen Amick, 55, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on May 23, 1966 in Osceola, Arkansas to Norman and Ethel Murfield Oakes.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Charles Oakes and two sisters: Diane Alexander and Ann Oakes.

Mary is survived by her fiancé: Freddie Hendrix of Lepanto, Arkansas, one son: Derrick Hendrix (Candice) of Lepanto, Arkansas, one daughter: Sandra Hendrix of Trumann, Arkansas, two brothers: Ronnie Oakes (Sheila) of South Bend, Indiana and Eddie Oakes of Galveston, Texas, three sisters: Gail Beal (William) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Christine Armstrong (Clyde) of Trumann, Arkansas and Charlene Oakes of Marked Tree, Arkansas, five grandchildren: Nick Metheny Jr., Mackinley Metheny, Austin Harkins, Bradleigh Hendrix and Aubri Hendrix, four great grandchildren: Princeton, Treyden, Zaveah and Nadia and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00a.m. until service time.
