Larry W. Steakley, 75 of Lepanto departed this life on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at his home. He was born on June 2, 1943 to Woodrow and Eula Reagan Steakley. Larry was the former owner of Steakley’s Body Shop in Lepanto. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lepanto, a member of the Poinsett County Quorum Court, retired from the Lepanto Fire Department and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister: Betty Foster.
Larry is survived by his wife: Doris Steakley of Lepanto, five daughters: Penny Steakley Defeno (Richard) of Red Level, Alabama, Pam Steakley Bryan (Randy) of Manila, Cindy Tyler Marshall of Jonesboro, Connie Steakley Herod of Jonesboro and Tonya Steakley Jones (Gary) of Jonesboro, one brother: Ronnie Steakley (Shelia) of Millington, Tennessee, fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at The First Baptist Church in Lepanto.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00am at The First Baptist Church in Lepanto.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
