Johnie Williams

Johnie Sharp Williams, 97, of Lepanto, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, March 7, 2016 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on March 13, 1918 to James Edward and Bettie Elizabeth Gidcum Williams.
Mr. Williams served his country in the US Navy during WWII and he was of the Church of Christ faith. He was a commercial fisherman, a craftsman and enjoyed shooting pool.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Lorine Forrest Williams, parents, 1 daughter: Jo Ann Williams, 3 brothers and 4 Sisters.
Johnie is survived by 5 Sons: Billy John Williams (Dorothy) of Osceola, Arkansas, Jimmy Ray Williams (Sandy) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Jerald Lee Williams of Milsap, Texas, Larry Gene Williams of Dyess, Arkansas and Ray Roy Williams of Dyess, Arkansas, 3 Daughters: Judy Ann Kemp (Terry) of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas, Margaret Sue McCullar (Mike) of Lepanto, Arkansas and Annette Campbell (Doyle) of Lepanto, Arkansas, 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and several great great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 from 6 to 8 at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:00 at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
