John Lewis Henderson

John Lewis Henderson, 79, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Lakeside Nursing Home in Lake City, Arkansas.  He was born March 17, 1943 in Lepanto, Arkansas to C.P. and Marie Lewis Henderson.  He was a faithful member of Lepanto Church of Christ and was a graduate of Harding University where he earned his Master’s in Biology.  John was a retired fireman and former mayor of Lepanto.  For twenty-five years he loved working beside his Dad in appliance sales and repairs.  He loved helping people and serving his community. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother: Clay Henderson.

John is survived by his sister: Peggy Stacks, two nieces: Karen Brown and Lisa Capps, his sister-in-law: Cathy Henderson, several great nieces, great nephews and cousins and his beloved dog and best friend: Lady.

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

 Cannon Taylor and Cody Brown will officiate the service. 

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
