Jimmy Wayne Nelson

Jimmy Wayne Nelson, 76, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at his home.  He was born on July 13, 1945 in Cushman, Arkansas to Henry Stockton and Pearl Celestus Johnson Nelson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter in law: Cathy Nelson, one son in law: Richard Johnson, one grandson: B.A. Nelson, four brothers: Willie Nelson, R.V. Nelson, Emmitt Nelson and Billy Nelson and one sister: Katherine Britt.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 56 years: Genail Nelson of Lepanto, Arkansas, two sons: Dewayne Nelson of Lepanto, Arkansas and Dennis and Julia Nelson of Trumann, Arkansas, one daughter: Stephanie Johnson of Lepanto, Arkansas, one sister: Joanie and Jerry Phillips of Lepanto, Arkansas, five grandchildren: Patrick Nelson, Brittney Kimbrell, Maggie Nelson, Logan Johnson and Nolan Johnson, four great grandchildren: Cayden Kimbrell, Bella Kimbrell, Jayden Kimbrell and Hayden Hargett, several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 at 2:00p.m. at Caraway Cemetery in Caraway, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held Friday from 12:30p.m. until 1:30p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
