Jewel Brown

Jewel Dean Brown, 83, departed this life March 3, 2021 at her home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.  She was born on March 9, 1937 in Atkins, Arkansas to Loyd and Cloie Beatrice Sims Couey.

Jewel was a member of Marked Tree First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading, flowers and loved her kids and grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years: Emmett H. Brown, her parents, one son: Tony Brown, two brothers: Charles Couey and Paul “Buddy” Couey.

Jewel is survived by one son: Randy Brown of Marked Tree, Arkansas, three daughters: Patsy (Michael) Scott of Marked Tree, Arkansas, Bonnie Nichols of Tyronza, Arkansas and Shirley Huff of Marked Tree, Arkansas, two sisters: Mary Nell Herman of Batesville, Arkansas and Joyce Osburn of Trumann, Arkansas. Thirteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Marked Tree First Baptist Church in Marked Tree, Arkansas.  There will be no visitation.

Interment will follow service at Nichols Cemetery, Marked Tree, Arkansas.

Brother Patrick Tucker will officiate the service.
