Jesse Hodges

Pastor J.W. Hodges passed from this life to go and be with his Lord on February 25, 2019, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  He was a dedicated man of God, preaching the gospel for 66 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ruben Sr. and Rosie Hodges, two brothers: Ruben Hodges Jr., and James Hodges.  One sister: Ann Mae Dover and a very special grand son-in-law: Jeremy Runyon.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Barbara Hodges, two daughters: Jeannie Gillis (Jim) and Angie Newcomb (Phillip), two granddaughters: Kristen Runyon and Lori Fitts (Mitchell), three great grandchildren: Harlee East, Trey Fitts, and Ella Fitts, one brother: Gene Hodges (Evelyn) and host of friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Jonesboro at 9:30a.m. until service time.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:00a.m. with Brother Grey Falanga and Brother Jerry Parker officiating.

Interment will follow at McDaniel Cemetery in Jonesboro.
