Helen Louise Teague

Helen Louise Teague, 87, departed this life on Friday, June 16, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She was born to William Burley and Sarah Lou Rodgers Smith on December 25, 1935 in Tyronza, Arkansas.  Helen was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing the piano, making jam cakes and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren which she baby-set. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years: Gerald “Frank’ Teague, her parents, two sisters: Lillian Mills Hand and Donnie Jo Buckalew, her daughter-in-law: Melissa Teague and Joe and Mary Emmons, who raised her.

Helen is survived by her two sons: Jerry Max Teague (Terrie) of Marked Tree and Michael Dewayne Teague of Jonesboro, daughter: Judy Gann (Dennis) of Tyronza, one sister Ann Fires Smith of Louisville, Kentucky, seven grandchildren: Wendy Fraley, Sandy May, Mikka Teague, Jessica Teague, Justin Teague, Tyler Teague and Logan Teague, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Marked Tree Cemetery on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at Delancey Funeral Home, Marked Tree on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Brother Rick Kimery will officiate the service.

Arrangements are under the care of Delaney Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
