G.C. Shortnacy

G.C. Shortnacy, 72, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.  He was born on September 12, 1944 to George Clarence and Opal Inez Churchwell Shortnacy.  He was of the Baptist faith and a 50-year member of The Masonic Lodge #766.  G.C. enjoyed restoring custom and antique cars, going to the lake and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Shortnacy is survived by his wife of 52 years: Shirley (Catt) Shortnacy of the home, son: Tra Shortnacy (Chesney) of Cherokee Village, daughter: Payton Weathers (Brian) of Lepanto, brother: Ranny Shortnacy (Maurice) of Crawfordsville, seven grandchildren: Trenton Tyler, Carson Tyler, Cayne Tyler, Gabrielle Weathers, Halyn Everett, Will Shortnacy and Jillian Shortnacy and five great grandchildren: JonBraxton Tyler, Tatum Tyler, Garner Tyler, Hanson Tyler and Hudson Everett.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto.

Graveside service will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10:00am at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
