Gary "Pooney" Paul Bryan, Jr.

Gary Paul “Pooney” Bryan, Jr., 78, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  He was born on October 29, 1943 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Paul and Golda Jones Bryan.  He could fix anything and loved to fuss.  He enjoyed hunting and going to Calico Rock to fish on White River, playing with his dogs Eva and Stella, and sitting on the back porch watching the squirrels and wood ducks.

He is preceded by his parents, and one sister: Betty Talley.

Pooney is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years: Teresa Bryan, two sons: Gary Paul Bryan, III and Tina of Vanceboro, North Carolina, and Bubba Walker of Marion, Arkansas, two daughters: Shannon Burlingame and Todd of New Bern, North Carolina and Christa Walker Ashley of Lepanto, Arkansas, one brother: Jerry Bryan of Dover, Florida, he was Papa to thirteen grandchildren: Bailey, Taylor, Tyler, Danielle, Chelse, Trevor, Karson, Kade, Lindsey, Charleigh, Nadalie, Patrick and Brianna and five great-grandchildren: Asher, Aria, Tinsley, Ensley and one great grandson on the way.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Brother Gary Earnhart will officiate the service.
