Farris Edgar Hufstedler, 66, of Jonesboro, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, May 3, 2024 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on April 17, 1958, to Cecil Monroe and Vera Gladys Stanfill Hufstedler in Pocahontas.
Farris was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Safety Trainer for Jonesboro Public School Transportation, the Owner and Mortician of Hufstedler Trade Service and Co-Owner and Mortician of Delancey Mortuary Service. He was a member of Ridge Riders Chapter D and enjoyed camping, the beach, fishing, kayaking and Halloween. Farris was a jokester and could talk the ears off of a donkey.
He is preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law: Janice Orr.
Farris is survived by his wife: Sherry Burns Hufstedler of Jonesboro, one son: Brent Hufstedler and Angel of Jonesboro, four daughters: Jessica Henninger of Jonesboro, Samantha Swindle and Craig of Harrisburg, Ashley Boling and Chad of Jonesboro and Heather Tallmadge and David of Jonesboro, one brother: Don Hufstedler of Arlington, Texas, two sisters: Deledia King and Kelly of Hurst, Texas and Brooksie Reynolds and Mike Jim of Arlington, Texas, father-in-law: Buster Orr of Jonesboro, thirteen grandchildren: Caylie, Brayden, Kason, Lilly, Lacey, Levi, Hunter, Reece, Emma, Paxton, Christopher and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial service will be held Monday, May 6, 2024, at 6:00p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro.
The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. until service time.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.
