Emma Sue Allen

Emma Sue Allen, 91, of Dyess, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at her home.  She was born on June 26, 1932, to Bob and Susie Mason Hammock.  Sue was a member of the New Hope Pentecostal Church of God in Dyess, she enjoyed going to church, spending time with her family, reading her bible, praying, cooking and always trying to make sure everybody had eaten.  Sue loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.

She preceded in death by her husband: Jasper Carl Allen, her parents, two daughters: Brenda Malone and Debbie Allen, one brother: Robert Hammock and two sisters: Mary Godsey and Nadine McClain.

Sue is survived by one daughter: Faye Carlock (Eddie) of West Memphis, Arkansas, three sisters: Ruby Jewell of Paris, Tennessee, Bobbie Prince of Lepanto, Arkansas and Nan Prentice of Palestine, Arkansas, nine grandchildren: Lee Malone (Kristy), Lori Malone, Angie Cullom (Sumner), Tanya Peninger (Jeff), Carol Brumley (Willis), Cheryl McCaul (Tommy), Dave Vaughn, Daniel Vaughn (Kara), and Dustin Vaughn (Bo), nineteen great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 3:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00p.m. until service time.

Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
