Elsie Mae Willis

Elsie Mae Willis, 83, of Marked Tree, Arkansas passed away on July 17, 2024 at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro. Elsie was born in Brookland, Arkansas on April 2, 1941 to Arthur and Susie Brown. Elsie was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and she worked as the kitchen manager for Mary Ann Arnold Center Head Start program for several until she retired.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Bea, Nettie and June, her brothers James and Lonnie, her husband James A. Willis, her sons Stevie Willis and Darrell Willis, her daughter Brenda Willis, two grandsons John Willis and Bobby Willis and granddaughter Lisa Lairson.

 Elsie is survived by her brothers Pete Brown and Dan Brown of Missouri, her children Carolyn Lairson of Trumann, AR, James David Willis (Melissa) of Harrisburg, AR, Bobby Gene Willis (Pam) of Harrisburg, AR and Johnny Earl Willis (Sharon), Monette, AR., her 8 grandchildren Jason Willis (Holli), Cindy Camp (Shannon), Casey Zavala (Andrew), Stevie Willis, Makayla Hutchinson, Jeremy Willis, Stephen Willis, and Alan Parks and 9 great grandchildren. 

A Memorial service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will follow service in Marked Tree Cemetery, Marked Tree, Arkansas. 

Brother Kenny McMahon will officiate the service.
