Dorthy Neal

Dorthy Jo Coles Neal, 80, of Johnson City, Tennessee departed this life on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Johnson City, Tennessee.  She was born on May 2, 1941 in Searcy, Arkansas to John and Irene Lynn Coles.  Dorthy was a strong-willed, tough but loving mom.  She wasn’t always right but she was fair.  She attended services at Dominion Senior Living while she was a resident there.  She was a bible school teacher and attended bible study regularly.  She was very caring to everyone and wanted them to feel included.

She is preceded in death by her husband: James Whayne Neal Sr., parents and one sister: Jane Allison.

Dorthy is survived by her three sons: Jeffery Neal (Tonya) of Elizabethton, Tennessee, James Whayne Neal Jr. of Batesville, Arkansas and John Michael Neal of Batesville, Arkansas, one daughter: Connie Jo Simpson of West Memphis, Arkansas, one sister: Maxine Sutherland of Searcy, Arkansas and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 1:00p.m. to 1:45p.m. at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
