Dorothy Hicks

Dorothy Mae Hicks, 84, of Marked Tree, AR departed this life Sunday March 10, 2019 in Katy, TX.
She was born May 7, 1934 in Avery, TX to John A. & Audrey (Flowers) Buchanan.

Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her family and working in her flower gardens. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and Christian.
She is preceded in death by her husband H. C. “Doc” Hicks and her parents.

Dorothy is survived by her son Gary Hicks (Sandra), daughter Lisa Carter (Alamath), six grandchildren: Steven Hicks (Laurie), Craig Hicks, Meredith Sharpe (Todd), Devin Carter, Grace Carter, Lisa Reaves (Theo), eight great grandchildren: Hunter Hicks, Maycee Hicks, Madeline Sharpe, Libby Reaves, David Reaves, Morgan Self, Korie Self, Sophia Sharpe, one sister Pearl Chase and many loved ones and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree from 6-8pm.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Marked Tree Church of God at 11am.

Interment will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery.

The arrangements are under the care of Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home, Marked Tree, Arkansas.
