Dorothy Mae Haynes

Dorothy Mae Haynes, 81, of Jonesboro, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, December 6, 2024, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on November 24, 1943, in Parkin, Arkansas to Joseph and Calliada Lowry Hisaw. Dorothy loved Bingo, reading, gardening and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Teresa Morgan, six brothers: Allan Sims, Alvie Sims, Luther Sims, Red Sims, Mirl Sims and Estel Sims and six sisters: Betrice Sims, Sis Sims, Elsie Sims, Lougean Sims, Olene Sims and Linda Hisaw.

Dorothy is survived by her husband: Willis Edward “Gene” Haynes of Jonesboro, one son: Jimmy Steven Haynes of Jonesboro, one daughter: Lisa Ahl (Wesley Davis) of Jonesboro, eight grandchildren: Billie Morgan, Shane Morgan, Lee Morgan, Maxx Blanford, Kelly Giles, Becca Sims, Nicole Sims and C.J. Sims, several great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 2:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00p.m. until service time.

Interment will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.
