Doris Smith

Doris Virginia Williams Smith, 84, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life November 8, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She was born in Dorsey, Mississippi on February 4, 1936 to Odie Ezelle and Hassie Franks Williams.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lepanto, Arkansas where she taught Sunday school and nursery.  Doris loved coffee clutching with her friends.  She loved her grandchildren and would take them on a Pete’s Dragon walk and  enjoyed cooking for her family.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Johnny Edsel Smith, her parents, two sons: Ronnie and Gary Smith, one brother: Larry Williams, two sisters: Dorothy Norman and Mary Lou Metcalf and one grandson: Jonathan Smith.

She is survived by one son: Ricky Smith (June) of Lepanto, Arkansas, two brothers: Wayne Williams (Jeannie) of Rapid City, South Dakota and Bobby Williams (Bertha) of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, two sisters: Ruby Bell of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Sue Felts (Eddie) of Lepanto, Arkansas, four grandchildren: Joshua Smith (Crystal), Autumn Chipman (Seth), Barbara Salinas (Luis) and Matthew Smith (Jessica) and two great grandchildren: Johannah and Asher Salinas.
