Donna Lorine Greene, age 63, of Marked Tree departed this life and went to her heavenly home Saturday, November 10, 2018. She was born to Cread Thompson and Pauline Crook Thompson, the youngest of their 5 children, on October 12, 1955 in Wynne, Arkansas.
Donna graduated from Parkin High School in 1973 before attending Arkansas State University for a degree in Education. She taught in elementary school for nearly 15 years before furthering her degree at University of Central Arkansas, earning a Master’s in Library Science. Over a decade was spent with Donna as the Marked Tree elementary school librarian where she loved hundreds of children as her own and cherished the friendships of her co-workers before a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis sent her in to early retirement.
Of all the admirable and inspiring qualities she possessed, Donna’s faith was the most profound. Her relationship with Christ abounded with every hardship she faced. Never feeling victimized or bitter, she trusted whole-heartedly in God’s plan and continued to shine and exude God’s love through a 13-year battle with MS.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Cread and Pauline Thompson; her brother and best friend, Ronnie “Soapy” Thompson; and son, Dylan Prassinas.
She is survived by the love of her life, husband, and soulmate, David Greene of Marked Tree, Ar; daughters, Paige (Brandon) Snider of Leachville, Ar; Brooke (Robin) Neal of Lepanto, Ar; Marisha Prassinas of New South Wales, Australia; Nouisha Greene of Victoria, Australia; son, Jordy Greene of Victoria, Australia; grandchildren: Cread and Keely Neal, Sylas Pettit, Jagger Snider, Bonnie, Amity, Enya, Mitchell and Orla Greene; one sister, Gloria(Jerry) Cox of Fulton, Ky; and two brothers, Tommy (Jennie) Thompson of Jonesboro, Ar and Jimmy (Annesa) Thompson of Marked Tree.
