Denise Cates

Denise Cates, 68 of Manila, Arkansas entered heaven on December 15, 2022 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on September 6, 1954. Denise was of the Baptist faith and in recent years worshipped with her church family at New Harmony Baptist Church in Manila, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Glen and Vera Simpson Cates of Etowah, Arkansas.

Denise is survived by two sons: Daniel Cates (Ashley) of Germantown, Tennessee and Lee Coatney (Martha) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, four brothers: Tommy Bunch, Preston Bunch, Jonny Bunch, and Bowers Bunch all of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas, her sister-in-law: Dametra Helms (Junior) of Wilson, Arkansas, seven grandchildren: Jacob Cates (Bailey), Heather Smith (Landon), Jealynn Cates, Emery Garrett, Annan Garrett, Zachariah Helfrich, and Hayleigh Helfrich, and three great grandchildren: Wyatt Cates, Blakelyn Smith, and Kash Smith.

Funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
