Brenda Joyce Carter

Brenda Joyce Carter, 75, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her residence. She was born on May 3, 1946 in Lepanto to Cleo Millard and Lena Mae Tyler Rogers. She was a strong woman and loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed being outside, working in the yard, mowing and planting a vegetable garden and flowers. She loved to clean and was the most amazing woman to her family. 

Brenda is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years: Otto Carter, one son: Christopher Harold Carter, three brothers: Don Rogers, Bill Rogers and Bob Rogers, two sisters: Geneva Rosamond and Linda Sue Rogers.

She is survived by one son: Otto Harold Carter, Jr. of Lepanto, Arkansas, three daughters: Sheila Joyce Burns and Brian of College Station, Texas, Rebecca Kaye Timbs of Lepanto, Arkansas and Tasha Linette Carter Murphy and Shane of Lepanto, Arkansas, twelve grandchildren: Joshua Timbs and Christa of Lepanto, Arkansas, Ethan Stevens of Cleveland, Texas, Veronica Brown of College Station, Texas, Jacob Stevens and Amanda of Oak Harbor, Ohio, John Timbs of Lepanto, Arkansas, Haley Carter of Jonesboro, Akansas, Hunter Carter of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Tamara Burks of Brookland, Arkansas, Otto Timbs of Lepanto, Arkansas, Brittany Timbs of Lepanto, Arkansas, Bryson Lee Harold Johnson of Lepanto, Arkansas and Ryder Lane Murphy of Lepanto, Arkansas, eleven great-grandchildren: Ashleigh Timbs of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jacob Brown of College Station, Texas, Lily Freeman of Brookland, Arkansas, Darby Jennings of Lepanto, Arkansas, Xavier Carter of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Lance Jennings of Lepanto, Arkansas, Ava Stevens of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Livy Carter Stevens of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Carter Lynn Timbs of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Noah Burks of Brookland, Arkansas and Liam Henson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, two brothers: Jack Rogers of Trumann, Arkansas and Ronald Rogers of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, six sisters: Wanda Hammond of Flint, Michigan, Burnett Whipple of Sterling, Michigan, Angie Hiser of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Barbara Stovall of Searcy, Arkansas, Teresa Bryan and Ronnie of Lepanto, Arkansas and Ginger Miles of Lepanto, Arkansas and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas

Visitation will be held, Friday, March 18, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Interment will follow service at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Brother Jim Duffel will officiate the service.
