Billy Gean Ward

Billy Gean Ward, 91, of Trumann, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on October 4, 1933, in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Rufus Cecil Sr. and Martha Mae Henson Ward. Billy served his country in the United States Navy.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Joann Ward, parents, three brothers: Charles Ward, Rufus Ward Jr. and Ross Ward and five sisters: Edith Shuburte, Ruby Mason, Tiny Ward, Polly Carter and Gladys McClain.

Billy is survived by three daughters: Dianna Ward of Trumann, Belinda Holt (Robert) of Trumann and Connie Vance (Kenneth) of Marked Tree, two sisters: Linnie McNutt of Wichita, Kansas and Betty Anderson (Bud) of Harrisburg, seven grandchildren: Brayden Smith, Kelsey Jackson (Heath), Miranda Beachel (Jeremy), Ariel Wisdom (Bradley), Meghan Holland (Chad), Kevin Holt (Cassie) and Breann Hawley (Jonathan), eight great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 1:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00p.m. until service time.

Interment will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.
