Billy Joe Roach, 79, of Rivervale, Arkansas departed this life Monday, May 8, 2023 at his home. He was born on June 13, 1943 in Hornersville, Missouri to William and Ollie Littlejohn Roach. Billy was retired and former owner of Roach’s Grocery in Lepanto for forty-four years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as an Honorary Deacon. He enjoyed car rides in the evening, feeding and watching the birds. In his earlier years he enjoyed car racing, tinkering on cars, and weekends at the lake. He loved all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister: Shirley Brashears
Billy is survived by his wife of sixty-one years: Judy Roach of the home, one son: Joe Roach (Christina) of Jonesboro, two daughters: Daina Tyler (Steve) of Lepanto, and Karen Powell (Bo) of Jonesboro, one sister: Racheal Worley of Paragould, eight grandchildren: John Roach, Andrew and April Roach, David Roach, Caroline Roach all of Jonesboro, Holly and Kabe Taylor of Monette, Hannah and Bret Bennett of Rivervale, Martin Powell, AnnaLeigh and Grant Johnson all of Jonesboro and three great grandchildren: Landry and Lawsyn Taylor of Monette and Nolan Bennett of Rivervale.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery, Lepanto.
Brother Jim Duffel will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.
