Bettye Joe Wroten

Bettye Joe Kimbrell Wroten, 79, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, formerly of Dyess, departed this life on October 8, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She was born on February 15, 1944 to Floyd Roland and Mary Zellie Finely Kimbrell in Lambert, Mississippi.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years: Jay Edward Wroten, her parents, two daughters: Cindy Miller and Melony Wroten, son: Billy Wayne Wroten, brother: Hubert Kimbrell, and grandson: Clinton Wroten.

Bettye is survived by three sons: Randy Wroten of Dyess, Arkansas, Wayne Wroten and Melody of Lepanto, Arkansas and Jamie Wroten and Wendy of San Antonio, Texas, four daughters: Becky Rowland and Kennith of Ravenden Arkansas, Mary Key and Willliam of Phoenix, Arizona, Brandi Martin and Ryan Gage of Phoenix, Arizona and Christinia Mahan and Lee of Evening Shade, Arkansas, two brothers: Roy Kimbrell of Ozark Acres, Arkansas and Pat Kimbrell of Lepanto, Arkansas, four sisters: Rosie Fritz and Annie Sanders both of Batesville, Arkansas, Margie McEchearn of Cave City, Arkansas and Dean Overton of Ozark Acres, Arkansas, thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, many bonus children and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. and visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Interment will follow service in Potter Memorial Cemetery, Lepanto, Arkansas.

Brother Joshua Alfano will officiate the service.
