Bettye Steakley

March 1, 1940 — April 24, 2017

Bettye Steakley of Lepanto passed away peacefully on April 24, 2017, it was time for her to rejoin her husband Elvis. She was a very strong determined woman who had a fire inside that made her feisty and loving at the same time. She was a caring person to family, friends and strangers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father: George McVay, mother: Ima Dean Stroud, step-father: John Stroud and sisters: Wanda McVay and Jane Cornish.
Bettye is survived by her children: Elvis Steakley Jr of Joiner, Tami Strosahl of Florida and Michael Steakley of Lepanto, grandchildren: Jonathan, Becky, Hannah, Bryan, Missy, Stephanie, Chris, Bobby and Kinsley, great grandchildren: Charlie, James, Juliana and Carly and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 1:00pm at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
