Betty June Smith

Betty June Smith, 84, of Tyronza, Arkansas, passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro on, April 17, 2022 at 9:30am. Resurrection Sunday, a most perfect day to bow at the feet of Jesus! Betty was born on June 14, 1937 in Waterloo, Alabama to the late William Franklin "Will" Price and Mary Ellen Sharp Price. She later moved to Mishawaka, Indiana and married Eugene Gilbert "Gil" Smith on July 3, 1965. They later moved to Tyronza and raised their family. She worked at Mid-South, Mfg. in Marked Tree where she was a production supervisor for 34 years. Betty loved her family and treasured the time spent with them all. Betty loved to cook for crowds and when the family got together, that's just what it was, a HUGE CROWD, but she loved every minute of it. She wouldn't eat until she knew everyone had an overflowing plate. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Betty loved the Lord and was of Baptist faith.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Will and Mary Ellen Price, husband Gil Smith, four sisters, Louella Smith, Lillian Williams, Lizzie Hinton and Jewel Mitchell, and one brother Elzie Price.

She is survived by one daughter, Penny Jones (Tracy) Loggins of Trumann, AR, son, Randy (Tracey) Smith of Jonesboro, AR and one brother, Eugene "Pete" (Nancy) Price of North Liberty, IN. two granddaughters, Samantha (Trent) Ramsdell of Jonesboro, AR and Corye Price Jones of Marked Tree, AR., one grandson, Joshua (Chelsey) Smith of Jonesboro, AR and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Betty will be remembered for her cooking, countless hours working her word search puzzles with grandkids, and her displays of kindness to her family, neighbors, community and dear friends. Her memory is a blessing to all those who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree, AR. from 12:30-2:00 pm and the Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm and will be Officiated by Bro. Larry Loggins. Burial will be at Tyronza Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Trent Ramsdell, Tracy Loggins, Ron Price, Mak Knowles, Price Knowles and Fred Whitten. Honorary Pallbearers are Corye Jones, Samantha Ramsdell and Josh Smith.
