Barbara Jean Pounders

Barbara Jean Shinall Pounders, 67, of Lepanto, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was born on November 3, 1957, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Bud and Earlene Burch Shinall. Barbara worked as the Executive Director at Stevens Square for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Joyce Barnes.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 44 years: Steve Pounders of Lepanto, one son: Tanner Pounders of Lepanto, one daughter: Tamara Pounders of Lepanto, two sisters: Jimmie Rogers (Larry) of Tampa, Florida and Kay Craig (Homer) of Lynn, Arkansas, two grandchildren: Brittany Wilson of Lepanto and Drake Wilson of Lepanto, brother in law: Thomas Barnes, several nieces and nephews, several “adopted kids” and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 2:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.

Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
