Barbara Easton, 82, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life on March 9, 2024, at Flo and Phil Hospice House, Jonesboro, Arkansas, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born on August 21, 1941, to William and Daisy Austin Hatley. Barbara owned and operated Gibbs Grocery in Tyronza, Arkansas until retirement. She was a member of the Senior Center in Marked Tree, where she enjoyed playing bean-bag baseball and hanging out with her friends. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and going shopping with her grandchildren. She was the best Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and was a Godly woman who loved her family more than anything.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Claude Easton, her parents, two brothers: Tommy and Bobby Hatley and one sister: Edna Harris.
Barbara is survived by three daughters: Regina Swan (Curt), Sheri Kay Lung and Shelly Driver, one brother: Charles Hatley (Josie), seven grandchildren: Brandon Howard, Bobby Swan (Cherish), Andrea Lung, Britney Gilbert, Lexi Jennings (Jordan), Eric Driver, II (Hannah) and Havyn Driver (Cameron), nine great-grandchildren: Oliver Swan, Charlee Simpson, Grady and Brynnli Gilbert, Blake and Cody Hubbard, Lane and Lyla Jennings, Tripp Driver, several nieces, nephews, and her loving boyfriend: Billy Hood, who she called “Sugarpuddin”.
A graveside will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Marked Tree Cemetery and visitation will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Delancey Funeral Home, Marked Tree from 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Brother Patrick Tucker will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home, Marked Tree.
