Beloved Arthur (Hoot) Wells passed away on March 13, 2016 at the age of 85 years. He passed away at his residence on Old Payneway Lane Trumann AR. Hoot was born July 15, 1930 in Etowah Ark. to Arthur Wells Sr. and Marie Wells.
Hoot received his nickname from his Grandfather in honor of his favorite actor Hoot Gibson.
After his father's death, at age 16 he helped raise his younger siblings and run the family farm.
Hoot was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, friend and community member. He was a renowned gunsmith, avid duck hunter and fisherman. He continued to farm the family farm until his retirement.
Hoot and Claudine were members of First Baptist Church of Marked Tree for over 34 years. Hoot was the custodian and Claudine secretary for many years.
Hoot is survived by his Bride Claudine Wells of the home.
His surviving children are:
Robert Wells of Walnut Ridge, AR; Syble Aden of Livingston, TN; Michael Wells and wife Kim of Gosnell AR; Carole Wells of Nashville, IN; Frances Cavenaugh and husband Don of Walnut Ridge, AR; Larry Gillis and wife Sherry of Brunswick, TN; Judy Duvall and husband Paul of Springfield, MO; Gregory Gillis and wife Beth of Bruce, MS; Robin Jones and husband Jim of Trumann, AR

Joann Wells, Patrick Wells, Patricia Wells and Billy Gillis
