Alice Fay Floyd Dale

Alice Fay Floyd Dale, 79, of Hot Springs, Arkansas formerly of West Memphis, Arkansas went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, September 23, 2022.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She was born on October 18, 1942 in Egypt, Arkansas to Exie Manuel Floyd and Exalue Brown Floyd.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years: Bobby Ray Dale Sr., one son: Bobby Ray Dale Jr., one sister: Mable Eleane Weatherford and her husband Odell, four brothers: Thomas Adolf Floyd and his wife Dorothy, Clarence Manuel Floyd, Bobby Edgar Floyd and his wife Lillie Mae and Donald Ray Floyd and his wife Ann.

Alice is survived by two sisters: Judy Clark and her husband John Mack of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Mary Lou Dale and her husband Arkey of Trumann, Arkansas, one brother: Elijah Elmer Floyd of Glenrose, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Alice was able to have her hearts wish which was to go back to Hot Springs and see the rest of her family.  She loved her furbaby “Patty” to the moon and back, they were best friends and kept each other company.  Alice started working full time at the age of 15 to provide for her parents and siblings who she loved dearly.  She retired as a factory worker from Langston Bag Company in West Memphis, Arkansas.  She was a hard-working woman, spoke her mind and loved her family unconditionally.

In the last few months of her life, she came back to her home town of Hot Springs, Arkansas were Jerry and Mary Ellen Smith took care of her in their home.  Mary Ellen Smith says it was and honor and privilege for them to do so.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Marked Tree Cemetery.
